Fire Smoke and Odor Remediation
Everyone has seen the devastation that a fire can cause. Even the smallest fire inside of a structure can cause significant damage. Many times the smoke from the fire can cause more damage than the fire itself.
In the picture above the soot from the fire can be clearly seen. We had to dry clean this ceiling because the paint was a flat finish and we could not get the ceiling wet. The soot in this photo resulted from a small fire in the garage of the structure.
Soot can penetrate everywhere, even behind the switch covers. The problem becomes even larger if the air conditioner or heat is running during the fire. In this scenario, it is not uncommon for the entire duct system to be exposed to the soot.
Even when surfaces appear to be soot free, many times they are not. More than one cleaning is not uncommon to completely remove soot from the surfaces within the structure.
And, as if the soot itself is not a pain, there is the accompanying odor that is caused by the combustible materials.
